Zeelander Yachts’ largest build to date, the Z55 Sport Cruiser, just made her European debut at the 2017 Cannes Yachting Festival. The yacht will be docked at Quai Saint-Pierre through September 15.
At almost 56 feet length overall, the Z55 has a deep-V hull constructed from GRP core infusion vinylester fiberglass. Mulder Design did naval architecture, and owners can choose an interior designer. The hull at Cannes has an interior of light oak with gray finish, whereas the Z55 delivered to an American owner earlier this year has more wood accents, the Dutch builder says.
The Z55 Sport Cruiser has 360-degree views from her wheelhouse, straight through to the aft-deck bar and swim platform. Her three belowdecks staterooms include an amidships master.
Zeelander designed this flagship to be “easy to handle and maintain” with joystick maneuvering, cruise control and more. Standard power is twin 800 hp Volvo Penta IPS1050s, and she has a 400-nautical-mile range. With optional 900 hp Volvo Penta IPS1200s, the yacht can reach a top hop of 40 knots.
