Numarine has introduced the 40MXP, a 128-foot motoryacht whose model designation stands for Mediterranean Explorer.
The 40MXP has styling similar to other yachts in the Numarine fleet, including the 37XP, but adds features such as an enlarged aft deck. Designer Cam Yalman achieved this by pushing the sliding doors from the aft deck to the salon forward by about 10 feet compared with previous models.
In the extra aft-deck space, the 40MXP has dining, a bar, a lounge and a pool with a glass transom. An awning can shade the area from the sun, and owners can opt for upper-deck extensions that provide more permanent shade.
“The 37XP’s beach club and garage have been replaced with a pool and a full-beam hydraulic swim platform,” Ömer Malaz, chairman of Numarine, stated in a press release. “What the 40MXP does so well is add fantastic outdoor living features to the design while retaining the core explorer principles of our XP line.”
According to Numarine, the 40MXP has a 6,000-nautical-mile range at 8 knots. Standard power is a pair of 800 hp MANs. Owners can upgrade to twin 900 hp MANs (which the buyers of Hulls No. 1 and 2 did).
Inside the yacht, accommodations are for 12 guests in six staterooms, including a main-deck master and a full-beam VIP on the lower deck.
Who bought Hulls No. 1 and 2 of the Numarine 40MXP? Repeat clients of the shipyard. Both yachts are expected to be delivered in 2025.
