The Marex 390 is designed to fill the gap between the builder's 330 and 440 Scandinavian models.

Scandinavian boatbuilder Marex has announced its two-cabin Marex 390 Cruiser, expanding the company’s Scandinavian range, which also includes a 330 and 440.

The Marex 390 has a warped hull form with a variable V-shape to aid in stability and overall efficiency. Several sterndrive engine options are available, including a single 480 hp Volvo Penta diesel or twin 320 or 380 hp Volvo Penta diesels. A shaft-drive option is coming, according to Marex. A pilot door offers the skipper quick side-deck access when short-handed cruising.

Hullside windows visually lower the boat’s profile and enhance the sense of volume belowdecks thanks to the influx of natural light.

The 390’s swim platform includes benches that double as stowage for fenders, lines and other gear. A transparent cockpit door looks to improve visibility while docking.

A hidden bowsprit on the foredeck can be deployed to assist with boarding from the beach. A foredeck sun pad is removable and can also function as a float. Its backrest adjusts to create a chaise longue too.

The boat has Marex’s Smart Canopy System, allowing quick deployment of side curtains to provide protection from the elements. Two sliding roofs let in light and fresh breezes when desired.

The 390’s cockpit has a U-shaped sofa that extends to include an extra seat to starboard, accommodating up to eight people around the table here for alfresco meals. The salon has a reversible backrest that transforms seating into a U-shaped dining setup or a co-pilot’s seat. A foldable office table is included.

A sliding door and retractable window allow the salon and cockpit to form a seamless indoor-outdoor entertainment space. The galley can be set up with either a Miele induction cooktop (with generator) or with a gas cooktop, a sink, a double fridge and freezer, an optional oven and stowage, including upper cabinets. A solar-panel system powers the fridge and the lights.

The Marex 390 has two cabins. Both the forward and amidship accommodations have double berths. The amidships cabin also has a sofa that can serve as additional sleeping space. There is a head with a separate shower.

The Marex 390 is scheduled to launch later this month.
