Feadship in the Netherlands has launched Callisto, a 139-foot, all-aluminum motoryacht that is scheduled for delivery to the owners in June.
The launch took place April 4 at Feadship’s DeVries Aalsmeer facility, and the yacht exited the yard April 9, bound for sea trials and cruising in the Mediterranean this summer. Longtime clients of Camper & Nicholsons International broker Alex Lees-Buckley are the owners.
Interior design on Callisto is by Sinot Yacht Architecture and Design, with naval architecture and exterior styling by Feadship. Twin MTU engines are expected to produce a top speed of more than 20 knots, as well as transatlantic range at lower speeds.
Inside, there are five staterooms for 10 guests. The master is full-beam on the main deck, and there are two full-beam VIPs below. There also are quarters for eight crew, including a captain’s cabin on the bridge deck.
Will Callisto be available for charter? No, at least not immediately. Plans are for the yacht to operate privately within the Camper & Nicholsons Yacht Management Division.
