Benetti Yachts in Italy has sold Hull No. 1 of the B.Yond 57M just a few weeks after the model’s official presentation at the Monaco Yacht Show in September.
The 187-foot superyacht is the new flagship of the B.Yond line, which also includes a 40M model. The idea of the B.Yond line is to combine eco-friendly technologies and hybrid propulsion with versatile and functional design.
Exterior lines are by Igor Lobanov, with interior styling by Bonetti/Kozerski Architecture. Owners can choose among three stern configurations called Beach, Air and Water.
Hull No. 1 will have the Beach version, with a more than 1,700-square-foot beach area and a 161-square-foot pool. The pool area, too, can be configured in multiple ways because of a sliding sofa system that converts the space into a lounge. The beach area also connects to the convertible garage deck, which can be used as a shaded spot for guest relaxation when all the various water toys are in the water.
“We are proud to announce the sale of the first unit of B.Yond 57M, as this demonstrates the market’s positive reaction to our new projects announced at the end of September at our annual press conference,” Daniela Petrozzi, sales director at Benetti Yachts, stated in a press release. “We are happy to start this new journey with our client.”
Generally speaking with the B.Yond 57M, accommodations are for 10 or 12 guests in five or six staterooms. The yacht is constructed with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure.
According to Benetti, range is projected to be 5,000 nautical miles at 10 knots. Draft is 8 feet, 10 inches, with quarters for 13 crew.
What’s eco-friendly about the Benetti B.Yond 57M? The shipyard has committed to achieving zero emissions by 2030 with advancements such as hybrid-electric systems and expanded HVAC systems that reduce consumption by as much as 80% compared to conventional systems. Instead of teak on the decks, Benetti uses EcoDeck, a sustainable and fully recyclable material. Forest Stewardship Council woods, sustainable fabrics, leathers and stones are used for the interior fittings, and water-based paints are employed for the finishes.
