Benetti Yachts in Italy has launched Hull No. 1 of the Class 44M. The yacht has been christened Juno’s 7.
Juno’s 7 is designed inside and out by Cassetta Yacht Designers, which handled exterior styling, interiors and decor in partnership with the shipyard’s architects.
“This is an important moment for Benetti because the first Class 44M has touched the water,” Daniela Petrozzi, Benetti sales director, stated in a press release. “This yacht is our fiberglass flagship and represents Benetti’s excellence and tradition combined with a modern interpretation, the result of the careful work of Cassetta Yacht Designers, who have been able to renew the external lines and reinterpret the style of the interiors with great skills.”
Cassetta’s team calls the yacht “relaxing,” with informal settings that aren’t overly artificial or sophisticated. Surfaces are large and transparent, such as mirrors on the hull sides in the main lounge that reflect light and water, making the spaces even brighter.
Materials used in the yacht’s construction include troweled resin for the bathroom surfaces. That’s instead of marble, which is used exclusively on the main deck for the basins in the owner’s bathroom and the day head. Varieties of Forest Stewardship Council-certified wood include antique elm for interior soles on all decks. On the walls is striped ash.
Juno’s 7 has four decks. On the main deck are the owner’s stateroom, galley, day head and salon. The upper deck is home to the helm station and an indoor-outdoor lounge, with an additional VIP stateroom as an option. Up on the sundeck, there is about 1,100 square feet of deck space. The lower deck has four guest staterooms and houses the crew area.
A beach club is at the water’s edge, with the garage for tenders and toys positioned along the yacht’s port side.
Power is a pair of 1,400-horsepower MAN engines with a reported top speed of 15 knots and a range of 4,100 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 11 knots.
Is Juno’s 7 quiet for guests who are on board? According to Benetti Yachts, the level of soundproofing puts the yacht at the top of its category, with floating floors and bulkheads, and with flexible transmission couplings.
What else is Benetti Yachts building these days? The shipyard works in composites from 112 to 144 feet length overall, and in steel and aluminum from 121 to more than 328 feet length overall in six categories: Class, Oasis, B.Yond, B.Now, B.Century and Custom.
