When Riviera Yachts introduced its 4800 Sport Yacht at the recent Sydney International Boat Show in Australia, it also introduced Volvo Penta‘s new D8-IPS800 engine to the world.
“We are delighted to celebrate the global launch of our new engine and drive system with such an internationally renowned yacht builder,” Andrew Nicholson, head of Volvo Penta Oceania, stated in a press release.
Volvo Penta D8-IPS700 and 800 engines are designed to provide good fuel efficiency and high torque at low RPMs for motoryachts in the 45- to 55-foot range.
