Tankoa Yachts in Genoa, Italy, has released renderings of its S801 concept, a 262-foot project with the code name Golden Wings.

The Francesco Paszkowski design, inspired by the historic Italian tall ship Amerigo Vespucci, could be stretched to 288 feet and would be the shipyard’s largest project to date if built. Plans call for a high-tensile steel hull with a light aluminum alloy superstructure. Titanium reinforcements also are being studied as possible additions to the design.

Tankoa’s S801 has an interior layout that includes five VIP staterooms forward on the main deck plus an owner’s suite on the upper deck aft with a bedroom, two walk-in closets, a massage area, a private spa and sauna, a bathroom and a personal office.

“We’ve seen, over the last few years, a number of out-of-the-box designs being launched,” Michel Karsenti, spokesman for Tankoa Yachts, stated in a press release. “Most of them were trendy but looked outdated after a couple of years. With this new project, we are bringing a radically new design that retains the classic basics of an elegant superyacht.”

The concept design for S801 is expected to be finished in the next few months. Follow the project at www.tankoa.it.
