‘That’s Pretty Amazing’

This Pershing 62, listed at Bradford Marine, still hits 36 knots at 80-percent load.

Sales broker Tucker Fallon has had his captain’s license for 40 years and has been selling boats for 18 years. When he signed the 2006 Pershing 62 Felicia for sale with Bradford Marine, he had to run her from Naples, Florida, over to Fort Lauderdale, and then to the recent Yacht & Brokerage Show in Miami Beach — a total of about 300 miles.

“Everybody says you should run these boats at 80 percent of engine load, and at 80-percent load, the cruising speed was 36 knots,” Fallon says. “That’s pretty amazing at 80-percent load on a 62-foot boat. That’s a Pershing with Arneson surface drives.”

Felicia is currently on her third owner but has had the same name since she launched. The original owner invested in a serious nameplate with backlighting, so the second and third owners kept it.

The current owner used the boat for entertaining friends with afternoon cocktail cruises and never slept aboard, Fallon says. Thus, recent use has been light and Felicia is marketed as being in good shape.

Felicia has twin 1,550-horsepower MAN 12V D2842 LE409s, each with 1,160 hours on them. Here interior includes three guest cabins plus aft quarters for one crew member.

The asking price on Felicia has just been reduced from $999,999 to $960,000. Learn more at www.bradfordmarineyachtsales.com.
