Tactical Custom Boats has sold a custom 77-foot Fast Pilothouse Motoryacht to a North American client. The Bill Prince design will be built in British Columbia, with sea trials expected in 2019.
The builder is calling the design a “fast yacht,” but says top speed is “classified.”
For now.
The 77-footer will have an aluminum hull that the builder calls Tactical Tough, plus carbon fiber in parts of the construction. Gyrostabilization and suspension seating are part of the plan, hinting at some seriously high speeds.
The layout will include an open cockpit and an articulating transom platform for launching tenders and toys without a davit.
“Our client has a specific set of requirements for this remarkable boat which are simply not available from any other vessel of this size today,” Prince stated in a press release. “We’ve designed go-anywhere capability and luxurious accommodations inside aggressive, pseudo-military exterior styling. Tactical Custom Boats is uniquely qualified to meet and exceed our expectations for this one-of-a-kind yacht.”
What else is new at Tactical Custom Boats? Its first build, the T-40 Express Yacht, is scheduled to launch this spring with twin 627-horsepower Seven Marine engines. Hull No. 2 is under construction and available for purchase.
