HMY Yachts, the exclusive distributor for Two Oceans Power Catamarans in the United States, Canada and beyond, has just introduced the 555 Power Catamaran.
Two Oceans’ 555 Power Catamaran is a semicustom, entry-level model in the builder’s power-cat range that also includes 75-, 82- and 87-footers. South Africa-based Du Toit Yacht Design is responsible for the design, and HMY Yachts, based out of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, will handle sales in North, Central and South America, the Caribbean and the Bahamas.
The 555 Power Catamaran has four staterooms with custom carpentry and four heads. There is a foredeck master stateroom with a king-sized, walk-around berth, nightstands, a dressing area with full-height closets and a separate shower. Additionally, the master has direct access to the foredeck and al fresco lounge forward, which is also accessible via the yacht’s side decks. The lounge has U-shaped seating with stowage and a composite table on a fixed base.
Belowdecks are the three guest staterooms, each with queen berths and en suite heads with separate walk-in showers and toilets.
Also on the main deck is the salon and galley, with stairway access to the belowdecks staterooms in the port and starboard hulls. The galley, to starboard, has acrylic countertops and an island countertop with stowage. Additional features include a four-burner cooktop (with propane or electric options), power ventilation above the cooktop, a convection microwave oven, a fridge/freezer, double sinks with a garbage disposal, an under-counter trash drawer and custom-accent wood carpentry.
The salon and dining area are to port, with starboard-facing, U-shaped seating for at least six surrounding the fixed dining table. A sliding door aft leads to a shaded deck. There’s space for at least four moveable chairs and a coffee table. At the stern of both hulls, there are stairs that lead to the swim platform. When at anchor, the center of the platform can be lowered for easy water access.
Stairs to starboard on the aft deck lead to the flybridge. The centrally located helm station here has Plasma Offshore 115 compasses, two seats and a stainless-steel steering wheel with power-assist. There is L-shaped seating forward of the stairs, seating for two to port of the helm station and C-shaped seating with a fixed table. A 12- to 14-foot tender can be stowed aft; forward, there’s a sun pad for at least two. Engine controls and instrumentation panels are by Yanmar to complement the twin 370 hp Yanmar 8LV diesels. Electronics are from Garmin.
The Two Oceans 555 is slated for a 2022 launch.
