Pardo Yachts in Italy has splashed Hull No. 1 of its new flagship model, the Pardo Endurance 60.
More than 200 hulls of the Pardo 38, 43 and 50 have been sold in three years, according to the builder, with the Pardo Endurance 60 now joining the fleet.
Computational fluid dynamics were used in the design phase, with naval architecture by Davide Leone, and interiors by Nauta Design. Those interiors include white lacquer and blonde teak.
Projections are for long range with a cruising speed of 10 to 12 knots along with a planing speed of 23 to 25 knots. With Volvo Penta IPS800 engines, the boat reportedly burns an average of 10.5 gallons of fuel per hour, providing a range of about 700 miles at 10 knots.
“The Endurance 60 is a project in which the ability to navigate well in displacement and planing stands out,” Gigi Servidati, head of new model development at Cantiere del Pardo, stated in a press release. “This is why we have thoroughly studied the hull lines using CFD analysis, making the most of the know-how that comes from almost 50 years of experience in shipbuilding.”
