Otam’s new superyacht will reportedly be fast.
The 115-foot supersize express cruiser could be one of the fastest alloy yachts on the market, topping out at 44 knots. That speed comes courtesy of three, 2,600 hp MTU 16V2000 M96 diesels matched to KaMeWa waterjets. A twin, 2,600 hp MTU option will reportedly offer a top hop of 35 knots. Cruising speed is 32 knots and 28 knots, respectively.
Tuscany-based BG Design Firm, which also designed Otam’s 70-footer, penned the 115′s exterior design. Umberto Tagliavini Marine designed the yacht’s deep-V hull form with a fine entry for slicing a seaway. A Seakeeper gyrostabilizer helps reduce roll, enhancing stability.
The 115 has a four-stateroom layout belowdecks with two en suite guest staterooms, each with two twin-sized berths, a forepeak VIP stateroom and a full-beam master stateroom amidships. Crew quarters are located between the master stateroom and the engine room.
On the main deck, the salon has an open floorplan, and the formal dining area has panoramic views. Otam keeps comfort in mind with a transom door that folds out to form a chaise longue that overlooks the swim platform. The transom garage accommodates a 13.5-foot tender and a PWC.
