Yachts offer their owners privacy and serenity from the outside world. For yachtsmen seeking next-level solitude at sea, the Atlante Mistral 41 has a penthouse layout option.
The 137-footer’s standard five-stateroom layout has a main-deck master with en suite head and four staterooms belowdecks, including two VIPs amidships and guest staterooms to port and starboard each with twin berths. In the penthouse layout, the master stateroom replaces the skylounge, moving to the upper deck. The portside guest stateroom is also replaced by the galley.
Abaft the penthouse master, port-side stairs lead to the sun deck. Here, there is a dining table with seating for 10 and forward-facing, U-shape seating aft. Moving the master to the upper deck allows for a larger salon amidships on the main deck. Furthermore, a five-seat bar is added and can serve three guests inside and two guests outside on the added portside lounge.
In the standard layout, the aft area of the upper deck remains the same. The master stateroom is replaced by starboard-side sofa seating, a four-seat square table and a three-seat bar with a fridge, an icemaker and a pantry. The captain’s accommodations are forward of the bar and just abaft the helm station.
Regardless of stateroom configuration, the Mistral 41 has a beach area with a hot tub and space for at least three chaise longues at the stern. Flanking, fold-down balcony terraces expand this aft area, allowing for two more chaise longues on each side. Aft-facing, U-shaped seating is also here.
Atop on the sun deck and under a hardtop in both configurations, there is U-shaped sofa seating to port and a four-seat bar to starboard. A pool is forward and surrounded by sunpads on three of its four sides.
Belowdecks, there are two tender garages on either side of the engine room. Crew quarters are in the forepeak.
Power for the Mistral 41 is either twin 1,450 hp or 1,800 hp Caterpillar diesels. Projected cruise speeds are 14.5 knots and 16 knots, respectively. Top speeds will reportedly be 18.5 knots and 20.3 knots. Range at 10 knots is 5,000 nautical miles.
Hull No. 1 is currently under construction.
