The Riviera 58 convertible has room for the cruising family or fishing team with a four-stateroom, three-head layout. The salon has a dinette, a galley with an undercounter fridge and freezer, Corian countertops, and high-gloss teak cabinets.
The 58 has a warped hull form with a fine entry transitioning to 10 degrees of transom deadrise. Optional twin 1,400 hp Caterpillar 3412E diesels help the 58 hit a 36.3-knot top hop and 32.6-knot fast cruise. An enclosed flybridge provides climate-controlled cruising. At press time, 10 Riviera 58s were available, ranging from $450,000 to $1,198,000.

“Her power steering is responsive, and she cuts tight, high-speed turns without hesitation. She rises evenly to a plane, and trim tabs seem necessary only for fine-tuning athwartships trim. Visibility is excellent. The balcony station allows the skipper a cockpit view when he’s handling fish or backing into a slip.”
