Simrad has announced a software update for NSS evo3, NSS evo2, NSO evo2 and GO series displays. The update enhances sonar, adds automatic routing, improves C-Map charting and allows touchscreen control of MotorGuide Xi5 trolling motors.
The new sonar feature is called FishReveal, which Simrad says makes fish easier to see on DownScan Imaging. FishReveal combines data from chirp sonar and DownScan Imaging onto one screen, so anglers no longer need to use split-screen views.
The software upgrade also enhances StructureScan 3D and StructureScan HD; and adds C-MAP Easy Routing and Navionics Dock-to-Dock Autorouting capability.
“Free software upgrades, like this, clearly demonstrate our commitment for continuous improvement to make the lives of anglers and powerboaters more safe and productive on the water,” Leif Ottosson, CEO and president of Navico, stated in a press release.
