Sessa Fly 54
I am a fan of the flybridge yacht. Navigating a vessel while perched up high, taking in the views and enjoying the serenity here just feels right to me. So when a press release for the Sessa Fly 54 came across my desk, I took a closer look.
At first glance, her basic shape shares a family resemblance to Sessa’s 54 Coupe. But what is different is how her designers incorporated that flybridge. Sessa incorporated the 54’s in a way that the added height and length actually enhances the 54’s muscular appearance. Equipped with seating for seven, this flybridge layout was designed for the entertainer who doesn’t want to miss out on the conversation while underway. The helm features a bench seat with room for two or three adults and is positioned high enough that it provides panoramic views, even with guests seated on the oversize sun pad forward. The L-shape settee aft and to port of the helm ensures that the skipper and his mate are at the literal center of attention.
After dropping the hook, keep the conversation flowing while diverting your attention from the wheel to the grill and refrigerator that are standard on this yacht’s bridge and you’ll be relaxed faster than you can say alfresco.
When the meal is over that sunpad will be prime real estate to take in the at-sea sunset. Want to watch a little cinema, just launch the flat-screen TV with the push of a button for an open-air movie night.
