Seapilot Android app
True Heading NSA is making its Seapilot Navigation app available as a free download on Google Play for Android-compatible smartphones and tablets.
Previously, Seapilot Navigation was only available for Apple devices.
The Seapilot Navigation app combines S-57 vector chart data with a GPS connection for current position and up-to-the-minute AIS data on portable devices. It can display current position, course and speed vectors for AIS targets, along with in-app weather data for situational awareness.
A single Seapilot subscription can now be used on multiple Android and Apple systems (though only on one device at a time). Users can now toggle among devices by going to the My Account section of the app.
“The Seapilot app is known for delivering professional performance navigation capabilities to recreational mobile devices,” Seapilot CEO Jens Johansson stated in a press release. “Building on the success we’ve had with Apple products, we know our Android users will enjoy the stunning capabilities Seapilot offers.”
