Royal Huisman has announced Project Marlin, a “retro classic” 161-foot motoryacht concept by Frers Naval Architecture. Interiors are by Stirling & Co. in Britain.
Project Marlin was conceived as a gentleman’s yacht. She has a 6-foot draft for near-shore cruising, while her 499 gross tons allow interior spaces to feel larger than aboard other yachts of similar length overall.
Five staterooms accommodate 10 guests, with quarters for 10 crew.

Envisioned as an all-aluminum build, her projected top speed is 17 knots with a pair of 850-horsepower Cat C32 engines. Cruising speed would be 14 knots, with a range of 4,350 nautical miles.
