The 155-foot Hyperion has just completed a nine-month refit at the Royal Huisman shipyard in Holland, where she was originally built, and is now based in Montenegro with charter availability this summer throughout the East Mediterranean.

Hyperion‘s refit work may not be immediately noticeable to charter guests, but it will improve the systems and services on board. Work included new hull and superstructure paint, new teak decking, new salon windows, a new shore-power converter, new refrigeration systems, an HVAC system overhaul and renewal of the yacht’s alarm-monitoring system.

Hyperion is one of the best-known yachts in the world. At the time of her launch in 1998, she was the largest sloop ever built and had the world’s tallest yacht mast (at 194 feet). Owner Jim Clark, the founder of Netscape, had her designed to replace conventional systems with integrated touchscreen computers. Bestselling author Michael Lewis wrote extensively about Hyperion in his book “The New New Thing.”
