Edmiston says the 240-foot NCA Carrara Planet Nine, now wrapping up her debut charter season in the Mediterranean, will take charters during the upcoming season in Antarctica.
Planet Nine is a Tim Heywood design that launched earlier this year and immediately joined the Edmiston charter fleet. She has features that should be a good match for Antarctica itineraries, including an observation deck, a trio of custom-built Rupert Marine tenders, a helipad and a hangar for her MD 600 Explorer helicopter.
After a day of watching penguins, icebergs and humpback whales, guests can retire to the 3,000-square-foot owners’ deck. The VIP deck is private as well.
There’s also a cinema room on board, along with a beach club with a steam room and sauna, and an elevator servicing all decks.

What’s the weekly base rate for an Antarctica yacht charter? $725,000 for 12 guests.
