The Naucrates 85 is a concept created by a collaboration between Italian builder Cheyenne Yachts and Italian designer Studio Green Yachts. What is her design based on? A sports car? A crocodile? Neither. The Italian yacht creators used a fish (the Naucrates Ductor) as the muse for this design.
The goal of this YSV is to be a guiding assistant yacht for much larger superyachts, and this is where the influence of the Naucrates ductor — also known as the pilot fish — came from. Her rounded bow in particular also resembles the animal.
A main feature on the Naucrates 85 is the large, open, outside deck, which, with the assistance of an amidships crane, can be home to a tender, PWCs or even cars. Remove the toys and there’s a spacious beach club at your disposal. This open-air area can also be replaced with a superstructure to add another deck and indoor space.
The Naucrates 85’s accommodations include three double-berth staterooms. There’s also a dining room, salon and wheelhouse with lounging area. Finally, there is a crew quarters with 2 double cabins.
