My father, the late captain C.S. Webster, was the original captain of the Trumpy yacht Showtime, ex-Sinbad. (“Yacht Yard” August 2008) The vessel summered under cover at the concrete Richard Bertram docks on the Miami River. This no doubt contributed to her overall “showroom” condition. I grew up on the Bertram docks and my earliest summer jobs were working with my dad on board Sinbad.
I hold additional observations, insights, and materials far too vast to share here. It appears that such historical record is rare; perhaps my insights will enhance current efforts with Sinbad.
