The National Football League will be holding this season’s Super Bowl at MetLife Stadium, which is the home of the New York Giants and New York Jets — and Bud Light plans to make the most of the neighborhood. Instead of taking over a hotel to host parties and VIP events, parent company Anheuser-Busch is bringing a cruise ship called Getaway from Scandinavia to the Hudson River.
“We’re able to handle 10 times as many people as we have had in the past by securing a cruise ship,” Rob McCarthy, vice president of Bud Light, told USA Today.

The_ Getaway_ will be docked at Pier 88, with events happening onboard as well as on the deck of the nearby Intrepid.
The Getaway is expected to arrive on January 30 — not typically the best time of year for boating around the island of Manhattan, but always a great time of year for a party.
