Not the Biggest, but Maybe the Best

In the Inuit language, Inukshuk can mean milestone — and according to Marine Construction Management, that’s exactly what Baltic Yachts has achieved in the custom 107-foot sailing yacht of the same name that just launched from the shipyard in Finland.

“The owner set the bar for the project very high, and the extraordinary interior design from Adam Lay Studios presented many challenges to implement,” stated MCM’s Nigel Ingram, who was the project manager. “This is not the largest yacht that Baltic has built, but in detail and quality of build it is their best so far.”

Inukshuk is a German Frers design built for the longtime owner of the 82-foot Swan Inukshuk, which was used both privately and for charter. Ideas stemming from that yacht are no doubt part of the brief for the new build, whose features include an automatically deploying Bimini top and a top-notch sound system in the cockpit.

There are four staterooms aboard for eight guests, plus additional cabins for five crew.

Inukshuk is expected to be available for viewing at the Monaco Yacht Show in September.
