Proof of the Pudding, the culinary provider for the 2018 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, will use biodegradable cups, paper products and more.
“We are committed to environmental and social responsibility in our day-to-day operations and believe that we have an obligation to create events that conserve natural resources and protect our environment,” Adam Noyes, president of Proof of the Pudding, stated in a press release. “You can have exceptional, ecologically responsible events without sacrificing style.”
Show-goers will receive food and drinks served with GreenWare cups and ChampWare tableware. GreenWare is made from plants, not petroleum, and is compostable in industrial facilities. ChampWare, too, is compostable as well as recyclable. It’s chlorine-free and made with recycled materials.
Proof of the Pudding also plans to use Green Restaurant Association-endorsed cooking fuel, and to recycle used cooking oil.
