JFA Yachts, following its recent announcement of a partnership with Privilege Marine, is expanding on the idea of its Long Island 85 with this new Privilege S8 by Long Island.
She’s just over 86 feet length overall and will be a sistership to the JFA yacht WindQuest. What will differ is her interior veneer and her flybridge, which has a hardtop that can be enclosed with isinglass for cool-weather cruising.
Her hulls will be aluminum, with composite deck and superstructure. Naval architecture is by Marc Lombard. Power will be a pair of 380-horsepower engines (the manufacturer is yet to be specified). A pair of 27-kW generators also is on the spec sheet.
Features are expected to include an aft lifting platform for launching a 16-foot tender; an inner helm station in addition to the flybridge controls; and a full-beam owner’s stateroom with 180-degree views.
Who’s ready to cruise? She’ll accommodate nine guests and four crew.
