MC5
The MC5, a new 49-foot luxury flybridge motoryacht, is expected to make her U.S. debut at the Annapolis Powerboat Show later this year.
MC5 is the first launch from the Monte Carlo Project, a collaboration between the French Beneteau Group and the Italian design firm Nuvolari & Lenard. The idea is to bring the philosophy, style and technology of Monte Carlo Yachts into boats less than 60 feet long.
A “wave splitter” hull with a narrow stern and a flared bow is meant to slice through the water in most weather conditions. Owners can choose Volvo IPS 500 or 600 drives, which are specified as original equipment.
Length overall will be 49 feet, 10 inches with a beam of 14 feet, 1 inch. Draft is 3 feet. Standard interior design calls for two larger cabins fore and aft with en suite heads, plus an upper-lower bunk cabin amidships and a single-berth crew cabin abaft the engineroom.
The main deck and flybridge both include seating and sunning areas, as well as indoor and outdoor helm stations to starboard.
