Apax Partners-backed Marlink has announced its acquisition of OmniAccess , with the deal expected to close in early 2018 following regulatory approvals.
The combined group is expected to be a worldwide leader in maritime VSAT services, with nearly $500 million in expected revenues, about 1,000 employees and a global infrastructure to support installations on more than 4,000 vessels so far.
Marlink’s aim is to expand the reach of OmniAccess products, including nextGen BroadBeam VSAT.
