Intellian has taken the wraps off its newest 1m Global Xpress terminal, the GX100NX, which offers high-speed data aboard yachts worldwide.
The GX100NX supports 2.5 GHz wide-band Ka networks, which are expected to come into more common use in the future. The terminal is based on Intellian’s NX technology platform, which uses a single coaxial cable for simplified installation. An “all-in-one” GX Below Deck Terminal integrates the antenna control unit, modem, power supply, switching and more.
AptusNX software includes an installation wizard with a step-by-step commissioning guide and diagnostic capabilities, and can send an alert when predictive maintenance is required.
“With its future-proof and user-friendly design, our new Global Xpress terminal will deliver performance, installation and servicing benefits to diverse customers, especially those in the commercial shipping, oil and gas, and yachting markets,” Eric Sung, CEO of Intellian, stated in a press release.
When can yacht owners get the Intellian GX100NX? It’s expected to be available at the end of June.
