Horizon has released photos of its new FD87 during leak testing at its Taiwan shipyard.
The new Horizon yacht has a vibrant blue hull and her design is based on her little sister, the FD85. Notable elements include an enclosed bridge and floor-to-ceiling windows in the main salon. The master stateroom is on the main deck and there are four guest staterooms, plus two crew cabins belowdecks.
Horizon created a beach club and swim platform for Skyline, which the builder expects will appeal to the U.S. market.
New bow design: Horizon calls the FD87’s new bow design a “High Performance Piercing Bow” or HPPB. The boatbuilder states the new bow provides “efficiency at slower speeds and performance at higher speeds.”
Power: Skyline is powered by twin 1,136 hp Caterpillar C18A engines.
Keep an eye out for Skyline on the water in January, when she is expected to launch at the builder’s open house event in Taiwan.
