At this week’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, Holland-based Heesen Yachts presented details of Project Nina, a 124-foot aluminum motoryacht designed to appeal to American yachtsmen.
Project Nina combines the performance characteristics of Heesen’s semi-displacement hull form with luxurious interior and exterior styling by Hot Lab in Milan, Italy.
Power will be a pair of MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines generating a top speed of 23 knots. Humphree active interceptors will be standard, and owners can choose Naiad Zero-Speed stabilizers.
The main deck salon and dining area have full-height windows for natural light and water views, and the full-beam master stateroom forward on the main deck is laid out as a mini-apartment with a study and walk-in closet. Belowdecks are four guest staterooms, plus quarters for six crew far forward.
The forward placement of the crew area leaves the lower deck aft open for an 18-foot tender, water toys and a guest day-head with shower. Depending on how owners want to use this lazarette space, there is the option of turning the area into a superyacht-style beach club.
Second dining space: In addition to the main deck dining room, the sundeck has a Bimini hardtop shading an open-air dining table, grill and bar.
