138-foot charter yacht Douce France
The 138-foot Alumarine Douce France is one of the world’s largest sailing catamarans available for charter, and she is scheduled to offer itineraries in some unusual destinations during 2014.
During the beginning of the year, Douce France will be in Raja Ampat, an archipelago in Indonesia’s West Papua province. You may never have heard of Raja Ampat (few charter yachts visit there), but it’s a spectacular cruising area with some 1,500 islands and Indonesia’s largest marine national park. Douce France will also be in Palau, the scuba mecca, from January through early March.
Then, Douce France will cruise 5,000 nautical miles southeast to the South Pacific, and in particular to French Polynesia. Charters will be available en route as well as in French Polynesia, which includes the islands of Tahiti and Bora Bora. Douce France is expected to be there from mid-June through September 2014.
This yacht accommodates 12 guests in six staterooms. Each has beds that can be arranged as either one queen or twins, offering maximum flexibility for charter parties of adult couples or families with children. The lowest weekly base rate is €95,000, or about $126,000 as of this writing.
