Grady-White Canyon 271
Grady-White’s new center console packs a lot of boat into a compact, 27-foot fishing machine. Riding on Grady’s Hunt-designed SeaV2 hull, the Canyon 271 has plenty of room for gear, with lockable horizontal stowage under the gunwales for six rods and a large insulated box forward of the console (with a seat back and cushioned top, allowing it to double as a chair or sunpad). There is a ventilated head with locking door, 5-feet 7-inches of headroom, a mirror and a tinted window. A 42-gallon livewell rests abaft the helm station. A large fiberglass door on the starboard side of the transom will make landing a fish an easier prospect. The optional T-top features dome and spreader lights, and four rod-holders. The Canyon 271 comes with twin Yamaha four-stroke engines pumping out either 200, 250 or 300 horsepower each.
