GOST Watch HD
The National Marine Electronics Association has given its 2014 Product Award for Marine Specialty to the GOST Watch HD app, which lets boat owners view onboard cameras remotely via smartphone or tablet through a secure interface.
If the system detects motion or other user-specified events on the boat, the program can record snapshots and video clips to the GOST Watch website, and send text messages or emails to designated recipients with the images embedded. Users also can watch live streams from the boat.
“We are very proud to have been recognized by the industry and our peers at this year’s NMEA convention,” GOST President Jay Keenan stated in a press release. “Our GOST Watch HD app brings the power of our latest vessel-monitoring technology right to a smartphone or tablet — functionality that the industry and end users have firmly embraced.”
