The CES show, held each January in Las Vegas, is one of the world’s biggest showcases for consumer technology. This year, reportedly for the first time, it had a yacht on display.
Furrion, a company that former mega-yacht engineers started, outfitted the Numarine 78 Adonis with smart mirrors, a virtual concierge and more.
The virtual concierge is called Angel. It can deliver the news and weather, order food from the galley, control an audio playlist and more. Powered by artificial intelligence, it uses facial recognition to learn boaters’ preferences. Angel suggests things a boater may like, such as a new activity or restaurant at a destination.
Angel also can deploy a drone for security surveillance, or to take fun photos in an anchorage. In conjunction with the Furrion monitoring system, Angel alerts boaters about navigation updates, weather news and more.
