Pershing Yacht in Italy has launched Hull No. 1 of the Pershing 140, the shipyard’s new flagship and its first-ever build in aluminum.
The Pershing 140 is a collaboration among architect Fulvio De Simoni, the Ferretti Group product strategy committee led by engineer Piero Ferrari, and the group’s engineering department. It’s the first Pershing-brand yacht to be produced at the Ancona Superyacht Yard, which is a Ferretti Group facility that specializes in steel and aluminum yachts of about 130 feet and larger.
Designers of the Pershing 140 are highlighting its aft layout, which includes a raised cockpit that functions like a mezzanine level. The space faces the sea for wide views.
Belowdecks are four guest staterooms, two with king berths and two with twins.
“Anyone who’s sailed on a Pershing is familiar with the adrenaline rush that kicks in with every turn: It is a unique feeling, akin to flying through the waves, that deserves to be experienced in the utmost comfort,” Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi stated in a press release. “And this new flagship embodies the highest expression of the Pershing thrill.”
Where will the first Pershing 140 be cruising? She’s destined for a homeport in Hong Kong.
