Amels and Damen have announced the sale of the first Damen SeaXplorer expedition yacht. The 213-footer is scheduled for delivery to her owner in 2019.
While the announcement of the sale came recently, the deal was signed in September 2015 at the Monaco Yacht Show.
The SeaXplorer range includes 65-, 90- and 100-meter designs. The expedition yachts are intended to let owners stay at sea for 40 days without needing to visit a port of call, for exploration of the world’s remote cruising grounds. SeaXplorer yachts also are built to eco-friendly standards and in keeping with the International Maritime Organization’s Polar Code.
