Amels, in the Netherlands, says it has completed the technical launch of the first Amels 220, Project Waka, which is scheduled for delivery this summer.
“Now we are less than three months from delivery,” Antoine Larricq of Fraser Yachts, who represented the owner during the build, stated in a press release. “Everyone is really impressed [by] how seamless this project has been. This is the result of all those hours of work and meetings, cutting materials, selecting marbles, and now we are right on schedule.”
The Amels 220 is a Tim Heywood design. It draws on the Amels 212s that have already been delivered, and adds elongated decks and a 700-square-foot swim platform and beach club.
Winch Design handled interior design. There are seven guest staterooms on board, along with room to stow a pair of 27-foot tenders.
Scope of the indoor and outdoor socializing areas: more than 12,300 square feet (really).
