The Ferretti Group in Italy is reporting record production numbers for 2017.
Seven brands in the Ferretti Group — CRN, Pershing, Riva, Ferretti Yachts, Custom Line, Itama and Mochi Craft — built 159 yachts, which is 7.5 percent more than the 148 yachts the brands produced in 2016, according to the parent company.
The 2016 production quantity was already a record, with 23 percent growth compared to 2015. For 2017, the Ferretti Group is estimating annual production value at more than $705 million, driven by its introduction of 24 new models being launched inside of three years.
Looking ahead to 2018: The Ferretti Group has more yachts sold or under construction — a total of 87 — than any other parent company in the yacht industry, according to the recently released global order book. That’s up 22.5 percent compared with 2017’s total number of 71 yachts.
