Turkish builder RMK Marine will unveil drawings for its new explorer yacht design at this month’s Monaco Yacht Show. The RMK 5000 Explorer is a 164-foot concept that can be built in two variations: the True Luxury Explorer with an aft-deck helipad or the Leisure with a 19-foot-wide swimming pool in the same space.
The True Luxury Explorer helipad option is designed to allow stowage of a 29-foot tender. If you want to use the space for a larger, 33-foot tender, then RMK says you can skip the helipad and devote the extra space to a Hovpod, a submersible, a scuba room and Jet Skis.
Both designs of the RMK 5000 have a full-displacement hull, are under 500 gross tons and come with either a diesel-only or a diesel-electric propulsion package designed for transatlantic and transpacific crossings. Each version accommodates 12 guests plus eight crew, has a beach-club swimming area at the stern and has a hydraulically operated transom door that extends the length of the beach-club platform.
Layouts are slightly different on the two versions. The True Luxury Explorer has two dining tables, each seating 10 guests. One is on the wheelhouse deck while the other is on the sundeck. The Leisure version has one indoor table on the main deck, with the sundeck reserved entirely for hot tubbing and sunbathing.
In both versions of the design, interior style and décor are by Hot Lab.
