Lyman Morse Tumblehome
While Maine boatbuilder Lyman Morse has produced many beautiful yachts, they often remain in private use and rarely are seen on the charter market. Such was the case with the the 90-foot Lyman Morse Tumblehome, which is being made available for bookings during her debut charter season this winter in the Bahamas and then in New England for summer 2015.
Tumblehome is a 1997 build that most recently was refit in 2013, when work included the installation of new engines. She has a cruising speed of 22 knots and a top speed of 27 knots, and she can accommodate as many as seven guests in three staterooms. Three crew are on board.
Guest areas include a flybridge dining table, a classic salon with a combination of cherry, teak, holly and red birch woodwork, and a semi-enclosed aft lounge space that should be ideal for nights at anchor in New England.
For bookings confirmed before March 15, an introductory weekly base rate of $28,000 will be available. The high-season weekly base rate is expected to be $35,000.
