In one of the largest superyacht deals of 2018, Burgess has sold the 361-foot Oceanco Jubilee — which, at the time she splashed in 2017, was the largest yacht ever built in the Netherlands. (Feadship has since launched the slightly larger Anna.)
Jubilee was on the market for more than a year at an asking price of about $311 million. The final sale price was not revealed.
“This marks a milestone in Burgess’ history,” Burgess CEO Jonathan Beckett stated in a press release. “Jubilee is very close to our hearts; following the initial introduction of Burgess client to shipyard, Burgess New Construction saw her successful build and delivery, then 18 months later our sales force closed the transaction, making it one of the largest deals not only in 2018, but in superyacht history. Oceanco really set the standard when producing this award-winning yacht, and I wish her new owners many happy years on board.”
Jubilee accommodates 31 guests in 16 staterooms, and she cruises with 39 crew. She has a cruising speed of 14 knots and a top-end of 18.5 knots. Exterior design is by Igor Lobanov, with interiors by Sam Sorgiovanni.
What else has Burgess been up to this year? Its team has sold 26 yachts with an average length overall of 175 feet. The brokerage sales have totaled more than $1 billion.
