IYC Global Managing Partner Filip Jerolimov sends word that there has been a price drop on the 87-foot Sunseeker Mowana.
Previously, the asking price for this yacht was about $8.4 million. Now, it’s about $7.7 million, based on conversion rates from pounds sterling.
Mowana is a February 2024 delivery that is being advertised as “like new,” giving potential buyers an opportunity to own a recent-model launch from the popular builder without any wait time for new construction.
The yacht has the kinds of modern features that buyers would expect from this recent model year, including Sunseeker’s beach club with an X-Tend sun pad that can be adjusted to face aft at water level or raised forward into the cockpit. The setup creates all kinds of options for relaxation morning, noon and night at water level.
Accommodations aboard Mowana are for as many as nine guests in four staterooms. The salon has panoramic views through oversized windows. Up on the foredeck, there’s a private seating area with a table for cocktails or lunch. Much of the top deck is shaded by a hardtop that has louvers for letting in just the right amount of natural light, while an additional guest area down in the cockpit gives the owner and guests yet more space to spread out and find some privacy.
Systems include zero-speed stabilizers for guest comfort at anchor. According to IYC, the yacht has a cruising speed of 24 knots and a top hop of 28 knots, living up to Sunseeker’s reputation for getting owners from Point A to Point B faster than a good number of other yachts in the same size range.
At the shipyard, Sunseeker advertises general features aboard this model that include a galley owners can completely close off for crew to work without prying eyes, and access to the lower helm on the starboard side so owners can have privacy there if they want it.
Is this Sunseeker a popular model for owners to offer on the charter market? Yes, according to the team at IYC. They call Mowana “an excellent opportunity for owners looking to generate revenue.”
