Sea Ray’s L550 is a smartly-designed express cruiser that is owner-operator friendly, though it does have a crew cabin in case owners prefer to have a captain or mate for the weekend. Allied Marine has Flamingo, a 2018 Sea Ray L550, listed for $1.1 million.
“Whether cruising along the coastline or embarking on an extended journey, the L550 provides the right amenities,” says Allied Marine. “Every detail has been considered for you, your family, and your quest to enjoy a day on the water.”
Exterior entertainment is not overlooked on this 55-foot express cruiser. On the bow, guests will find two seating options, the bench seat aft and the bow-rider seating forward. In the cockpit, an L-shaped settee sits against the transom to starboard with a fixed dining table—a great spot to enjoy alfresco dining which is shaded by the awning above.
“Balance is achieved through the pursuit of perfection. The L550 delivers that balance by marrying substantial capability with transcendent aesthetics,” Sea Ray says. “This is beauty that inspires and substance that delivers, together in a harmonious interplay. The result is a joyful ease, a sophisticated serenity that settles in deep and truly stays with you.”
The main deck interior is entertainment-friendly with an aft-galley layout that easily serves the salon lounge area amidships and the cockpit aft. The galley has a number of meal-prep amenities, including:
- Stowage
- Two bar stools
- Keurig Coffeemaker
- Under counter drawer freezer with icemaker
- Cuisinart microwave/convection oven
- Under counter drawer refrigerator
- Kenyon two-burner induction stove
Flamingo features a three-stateroom layout that sleeps up to six people. The full-beam master stateroom sits amidships with a caddy-corner queen berth and an en suite head. The forepeak VIP has a centerline queen berth and en suite head access. The third guest cabin is to starboard with twin berths, a great feature for those traveling with children.
Twin 850 hp Caterpillar C12.9L diesels should push Flamingo to a reported 30-knot top hop and a 24-knot cruise speed. It’s worth noting the engines only have 440 hours on them.
Some other notable features on board Flamingo include:
- Seakeeper 9
- FLIR night vision camera
- Optional Onan 29 kW generator
- Cockpit docking station
- Wine cooler
Where is Flamingo located? The yacht is currently lying in Marco Island, Florida.
