“As with most things in life, Riviera’s boats are a true product of their environment. The 5400 Sport Yacht possesses a certain blend of glamorous luxury and steadfast sturdiness,” Yachting previously wrote.
Allied Marine currently has Jake’s Way, a 2017 Riviera 5400 Sport Yacht, listed just shy of $1.1 million. The 54-foot express cruiser has a three-stateroom layout that sleeps up to six and 33-knot speed.
“Jake’s Way is a great example of the popular Riviera 5400 Sport Yacht Series and is being offered for sale by her second, caring owner,” says Allied Marine.
The salon features a main-deck galley-aft layout which emphasizes the build’s focus on an entertainment-friendly design. Amenities like the walnut joinery throughout, the laminate sole and vinyl overhead with recessed lighting help create an inviting atmosphere. Seating includes an L-shaped dinette to port, two stools forward of the galley countertops and an L-shaped companion settee adjacent to the helm station. The galley’s meal-prep amenities include:
- Isotherm dual refrigerator drawers
- Isotherm dual freezer drawers
- Molded countertop with two stainless steel sinks
- Two-burner stove top
- Fisher & Paykel dishwasher
- Miele oven
- Wine cooler
Exterior entertainment and social areas on board the 5400 Sport Yacht include the sun pad on the foredeck and an alfresco dining space in the cockpit. An L-shaped dinette sits forward to starboard while a grill station is positioned to port and a transom bench seat is aft. Most of the cockpit is covered by the awning above.
Jake’s Way is outfitted with the optional twin 725 hp Volvo D11 IPS950 diesels, which is the same setup Yachting originally tested.
“The boat’s cruise speed is 23 knots (and 2,100 rpm). At that speed, the optional twin Volvo Penta IPS950s burn a respectable 51 gph, a number that should help keep you from experiencing too much undue pain at the pump,” Yachting previously reported. “With the hammer down, I coaxed the boat up to 33.1 knots.”
After a fun day on the water comes to an end and the last cocktails have been finished, owner’s and their guests can retire to one of three staterooms belowdecks. The master sits amidships with a king berth, a sofa and an en suite head. The forepeak VIP has a centerline queen berth and an en suite head while the port guest cabin has upper and lower berths.
Some other notable features on board Jake’s Way include:
- Two Garmin 8617 displays with plotters, radar, sounders, etc.
- Garmin 8610
- Garmin HD3 4-foot 12kW open-array radar
- Ritchie compass
- C-Zone touchpad controller
