“Steps. They are a means of transporting someone, or something, from one level to another. Steps, as they relate to the Prestige 630, transport a yachtsman from a craft that runs through the water to one that feels like it’s floating above it,” Yachting previously wrote. “But these aren’t steps in the traditional sense; they are a build technique that lowered the 630’s center of gravity considerably. That, in turn, created the vessel’s pillow-soft ride.”
For owners chasing that cushiony ride, Galati Yacht Sales currently has a 2019 Prestige 630 Fly, Radiant, listed just shy of $1.5 million. This 63-foot flybridge cruiser has an entertainment-friendly layout and accommodations to sleep up to six people and two crew.
“The 630 Fly is one of Prestige’s best-selling and most popular models and has the space of a much larger vessel in only 63 feet,” says Galati Yacht Sales. “Radiant is an extremely well-kept, one-time Galati trade.
Radiant underwent a number of recent upgrades that include new upholstery, new remote-controlled blinds in the salon and staterooms, new seating on the foredeck and accent lighting on the sidedecks.
Exterior entertainment spaces on board range from the alfresco dining in the cockpit to the sun pad on the foredeck. The flybridge also has a range of lounging options from the lounge pad and bench seat, adjacent to the upper helm station, to an L-shaped settee and dining table aft. There’s also a grilling station amidships.
On the main deck, the galley-aft layout makes serving the cockpit and the salon space forward convenient. Features and appliances include a stainless-steel sink, a microwave/oven combo, Corian countertops, a three-burner cooktop, stowage and a refrigerator and freezer.
The salon has a bright and inviting interior featuring volume-enhancing windows flooding the space with natural light and light neutral tones throughout. Lounge seating amidships includes four sofas, three to port in the shape of a ‘U’ around a fixed folding table and one to starboard abaft the lower helm station.
The 630 Fly has a three-stateroom, three-head layout that sleeps up to six people. The master stateroom sits amidships and has its own private access from the salon. The forepeak VIP stateroom has a centerline berth and an en suite head while the guest cabin to port has twin single berths and an en suite head.
Radiant is equipped with the same twin 725 hp Volvo Penta D11 IPS950 diesels that Yachting’s test 630 had, which saw a top speed of almost 30 knots and a 24-knot cruise speed. At cruise speed, the 630 saw a fuel burn of 52 gph, giving the 63-footer a 340-nautical-mile range with a 10 percent reserve.
Some other notable features on board Radiant include:
- Seakeeper SK9000 gyrostabilizer
- Onan 21.5 kW generator
- Hydraulic swim platform
- Two-berth crew quarters
- Raymarine P702RS autopilot
