Pershing Yachts and speed go hand in hand, and the builder’s 82 VHP—Very High Performance—model accentuates this trait even more. Phoenix Rising is a 2017 Pershing 82 VHP listed with Allied Marine for just shy of $3.8 million. The three-stateroom flybridge cruiser has an entertainment-friendly layout and a staggering 50-plus-knot top speed.
“This vessel is not only a powerhouse of speed but also an oasis of comfort and style. With an array of recent upgrades and meticulous care, it offers an extraordinary yachting experience,” says listing broker Allied Marine.
Designed and created by yacht designer Fulvio De Simoni in partnership with the Ferretti Group’s Product Strategy Committee and Engineering Department, the 82 VHP features a reworked interior and an upgraded powerplant.
A pair of 2,638 hp MTU 16V2000 M96L diesels coupled with Top Systems surface drives push Phoenix Rising to a 45-knot cruise speed and a top hop of better than 50 knots. The new engine warranties are good through October 2026 and the engines currently have just 70 hours on them.
The interior has a modern yet inviting ambiance, with dark and pale streaked oak accented with dark gray lacquered details. A J-shaped settee and ottoman offer lounge seating aft to starboard. Amidships, a three-stool bar backs up to the three-seat helm station forward to starboard. A desk is tucked between the bar and the wall.
The galley on the 82 VHFs resides belowdecks, forward of the engine room, and can be accessed via the portside stairs amidships. The galley has an array of appliances, including:
- Four-burner ceramic glass cooktop
- Dishwasher
- Electric oven
- Extractable faucet
- Refrigerator unit side by side with fridge and freezer
Phoenix Rising has a number of outdoor entertainment spaces on board, each with a variety of social zones for owners and their guests to enjoy. The cockpit, for instance, is a multifunctional space. Aft against the transom is a sun pad. Forward, a table and two bench seats offer guests an outdoor dining space, however, the electric table can be lowered and the aft bench seat can unfold to create a second lounge pad in the cockpit.
If guests are in the mood to catch some midday rays after a morning swim, they can head to the foredeck where a three- to four-person sun pad sits forward of a U-shaped dinette. A Bimini top sun shade can be raised to cover the dinette.
Blink and you might miss the fact that this 82-footer has a flybridge. The low profile sport bridge has a centerline upper helm station forward that’s flanked by two chairs. The aft section has a two- to three-person sun pad, in case the first three weren’t enough.
Belowdecks, sleeping accommodations include three staterooms that sleep up to six people. It’s worth noting the three-stateroom layout means the 82-footer has a second lounge space belowdecks. Amidships, the master stateroom has an athwartship king berth and an en suite head. The forepeak VIP has a centerline queen berth and an en suite head while the final guest cabin has side-by-side single berths with access to the day head.
Some other notable features on board Phoenix Rising include:
- Two 23 kW gensets
- Williams 325 TJ tender
- Yacht Master remote control
- Starlink satellite system
- GOST security system and cameras
- FLIR infrared night vision camera
- Bow thruster with joystick
- Autopilot
- Chartplotters
Where is Phoenix Rising located? The yacht is currently lying in Miami, Florida.
