Chic and sleek are not words typically associated with long-range motoryachts, yet the Outer Reef Yachts Trident 620 is an exception. Designed by noted naval architect Ward Setzer, the long-range sports motoryacht with its fast-semidisplacement hull form is a powerful combination of contemporary style and performance.
“She is a vessel that has Outer Reef’s oceangoing pedigree at her core and is also easy on the eyes. The 620 is a great trawler built to help ambitious owners step up from casual cruising to serious voyaging and still look good on the water. Outer Reef sees the Trident line as a stepping stone for yachtsmen who are coming out of first or second boats and who may want to cruise the world,” Yachting previously reported.
Anne Marie is a 2018 620 Trident that was built by Outer Reef Yachts and is currently listed with the builder for sale. The asking price is $1.195 million. This flybridge motoryacht can reportedly cruise long at 5 knots for more than 1,600 nautical miles, or jog at 21 knots thanks to its twin 600 hp Cummins QSB 6.7-liter diesels and its Zeus pod-drive system. It’s worth noting the flybridge is equipped with a hydraulic hardtop that can lower for bridge clearances, making it a contender for Great Loop cruisers.
Sole-to-ceiling wood finishes and light- and space-enhancing windows create a warm and inviting atmosphere in the salon. The seating arrangement consists of a four-person L-shaped settee and ottoman to port and two loose chairs to starboard. Forward and two steps up is the open galley. Galley features and appliances include:
- Natural stone countertops with stainless-steel under-mount sink
- Satin varnish on interior veneers in combination with vinyl wall coverings
- Pre-manufactured wood soles
- Under-counter drawer-type refrigerator and freezer units
- 30-inch built-in microwave
- 30-inch electric cooktop and oven
- Trash compactor
- Garbage disposal
Farther forward, a single Stidd helm seat is on centerline at the lower helm station. The helm seat doubles as an extra dining seat, just swivel to port, set up the folding table and join guests at the C-shaped dinette.
Sleeping accommodations belowdecks include two staterooms. Along with a king-size berth, the full-beam (16’2″) amidships master stateroom has under-berth stowage, a walk-in cedar-lined closet and an en suite head. The forepeak VIP stateroom is also en suite and has a tapered queen berth with under-berth stowage. On Anne Marie, the space that is normally the portside guest stateroom is set up as an at-sea office.
In the cockpit, guests can enjoy shaded alfresco dining underneath the flybridge overhang at the U-shaped transom bench seat and fixed table. Aft, a sun shade can be drawn to offer guests even more reprieve from the sun.
The flybridge also has alfresco dining at the L-shaped settee and table to port, abaft the upper helm station. The after section of the flybridge is a blank slate, just add loose furniture to meet your needs.
