The 900 MY is the flagship model in Outer Reefs’ Classic Series and has an X Class designation, which simply means the 90-foot long range motoryacht has a beam of 21 feet. Each Outer Reef Classic yacht is built within one of three Classic Series molds, all differentiated by their beam dimension. Julianne is a 2022 Outer Reef Yachts 900 MY currently listed with the builder for $6.885 million.

The 90-foot long-range motoryacht has $2.5 million in upgrades and was built by experienced owners who previously owned a 90-foot Burger, an 81-foot Northern Marine and a 70-foot Outer Reef Classic.

“[Julianne’s] owners, who are extremely experienced in the yacht building process, decided to build the 90-foot Julianne after a very enjoyable experience with their previous new build,” says Outer Reef Yachts. “Overjoyed by the final product and working with the Outer Reef team, Julianne’s owners are looking forward to repeating the process on a larger Outer Reef, making this exceptional 900 Classic Motoryacht available for immediate sale and delivery.”

The salon’s warm and inviting atmosphere is accented by satin-finished teak wall paneling, teak cabinetry, neutral-tone vinyl headliner, a custom mahjong dining table with four high-gloss chairs, two custom chairs and a custom sofa. One major consideration for the current owners was ensuring each space was soundproofed, creating the quietest Outer Reef to date, including the salon which has an extra-thick layer of Soundown sound and vibration absorbing material, overlaid by an extra-thick pad and carpeting.

“After a $130,000 investment these owners have ensured this technology has created the quietest, vibration-free engine room, in conjunction with the advanced enclosed shaft SeaTorque system,” the builder says. “During extensive sea trials post installation, Outer Reef’s electronics technician found that while the yacht was at full load on the engines, and standing on the aft deck, Julianne surpassed any previous vessel in terms of her quietness in all circumstances…”

Amidships, the main deck galley separates the salon from the pilothouse. A U-shaped dinette is located abaft the lower helm station, offering a spot to grab a bite to eat. If privacy is preferred a dividing wall can extend to the ceiling behind the dinette. Galley appliances include:

  • GE Monogram 36-inch counter-depth side-by-side refrigerator
  • GE Monogram 24-inch dishwasher with stainless interior
  • GE Monogram 30-inch built-in microwave
  • GE Monogram 30-inch electric cooktop
  • GE Monogram 30-inch built-in oven
  • Echelon Wine Captain 15-inch wine cooler

Belowdecks, Julianne has a four-stateroom layout, all en suite, that sleeps up to eight people and a two-cabin crew quarters aft. The master on this 900 MY is amidships with a king berth while the VIP stateroom is forward with a queen berth.

The cockpit is the perfect spot to enjoy alfresco dining with a fixed table and the transom bench seat aft. Pull up a few chairs and fit up to eight people. A Portuguese bridge ensures safe passage to the foredeck where a bench seat makes for a cozy spot to enjoy sundowners at sunset.

On the flybridge, two L-shaped settees flank the flybridge under the hardtop, abaft the three Stidd seat upper helm station. Amidships, a grilling station sits to starboard with a three-stool bar to port. The after section of the flybridge is a blank space that’s equipped for tender stowage while underway, however, there is a permanent lounge pad with a sun shade at the stern.

Power on Julianne is provided by twin 1,000 hp Caterpillar C-18 Acert diesels with ZF transmissions, which currently have 1,770 hours on them. It’s worth noting the engines were inspected and serviced at 1,688 hours.
